Camping Baia Verde is one of over a dozen campsites located around Manerba del Garda. We had stayed at the site on a few occasions in 2011 and so choose the site again for a base for our Italian trip in September 2012.

Interestingly, we found Camping Baia Verde to be very quiet in May and June 2011, with not many visitors at all. However, during our present stay in September 2012, the site is very busy with the majority of touring pitches occupied. Travelling with a TAG axle can sometimes present a problem due to pitch sizes. However, the pitches here are a generous size and we settled with ease – although we choose to stay in the tent area rather than the main camping ground. (The tent area has since been replaced by “semi-permament” type tents.)

On site facilities at Camping Baia Verde

  • Two swimming pools, life guard in attendance
  • Roof top whirlpool and sun terrace
  • Laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers
  • WiFi (charge payable)
  • Pot wash area
  • Bar/pizzeria
  • Toilets/showers
  • Football/volley ball ara
  • Childrens play area
  • On site shop selling bread and basic groceries, along with pool accessories and other holiday essentials.

Unusually for  a campsite in Italy, the hook ups offer a generous 16 amp connection. This ensures that motorhome’s air conditioning operates with ease, as can the domestic kettle.  The majority of touring pitches also have fresh water provision and a grey water drain.

Camping Baia Verde is not “lakeside” but the shores of Lake Garda are just a few minutes away on foot. ACSI scheme cards are accepted at certain times of the year. The site offers special offers from time to time and details of these can be found here.

***September 2013 – we arrived at Baia Verde but decided not to stay as the site felt overcrowded***
