Peschiera del Garda, Lake Garda South

Peschiera del Garda is located at the southern end of Lake Garda. The town is easy to access, being about a mile or so from the A4 motorway exit.

The town offers a range of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. Also within walking distance are a Spa Supermarket, a Penny Market and also a Simply supermarket. In recent times, Lidl have added a store too.

There are numerous campsites in and around the town, with some staying open as late as November. We have stayed at various campsites here and also both of the motorhome sostas/camper stops.

For those using Peschiera del Garda as a base, then the town’s excellent transport links makes days out easy to arrange. Buses operate to Brescia in the wast, Verona to the east and Riva del Garda at the northern end of the lake. There is also a limited service to Mantova. Trains serve Milan to the west and also Verona, Padova and Venice to the east. Finally, there are various boat services operating on the lake. This makes trips to lakeside towns such as Limone, Sirmione and Malcesine possible. Why not read our pages about our bus and boat trips at Garda?

Hustle and bustle at Peschiera del Garda

Whilst Peschiera del Garda is very convenient, I do prefer the quieter locations of Moniga del Garda and Manerba del Garda on the western shores of the lake.

Still really hot, although partially cloudy this morning. 25 already if the thermometer is to be trusted.
