Cherry Tree Cottage Caravan Site is located close to the village of Nether Poppleton, just a few miles from York city centre. This is a Camping and Caravanning Club listed site and whilst there are no toilet/shower facilities available, campers will still find the following facilities on site

Furthermore, the local village centre offers a few shops including a Coop, chemist and a couple of pubs.

Cherry Tree Cottage Caravan Site – a good base to visit York

For those wishing to visit York centre, there are several options available. It’s about a three-mile walk or cycle ride – (flat) to the city centre or very short drive the Park and Ride side. First Bus operate the number 10 service that passes the site gates – the bus stop is a couple of minutes walk away. Finally, Poppleton train station offers a regular service to York, Knaresborough, Harrogate and Leeds.

There are various cycling routes close by.
