It’s just over five months since my last visit to the Camping and Caravanning Club Sheriff Hutton. In that time, there have been many changes. The majority of “roads” on site are now resurfaced, numerous new hard standing pitches have appeared. Existing water/waste points have been refurbished and electronic barriers installed. Perhaps, most importantly of all, a fully refurbished toilet and shower block. The amenity block features new toilets, sinks and showers. Of course, these are very fresh and modern. Wheel chair access to the block is available too. The wash up area is now larger and athough this is outside the amenity building, it is sheltered from the elements. An on site laundry is available for campers’ use and prices are reasonable. Noteworthy of a mention – these are the larger type machines, so great value for money!

Motorhomers will welcome the motorhome service point at the Camping and Caravanning Club Sheriff Hutton as this is easy to access and offers fresh water and grey dump facility. The motorhome service point can accommodate larger motorhomes with ease.

The Camping and Caravanning Club Sheriff Hutton is located about 10 miles to the north of York. There is a bus service operating from nearby Lilling and the service operates several times per day. A fish and chip van visits the site once per week and the local pizza take away offers delivery to the site.
