The Camping and Caravanning Club Boroughbridge is approximately one mile to the north of junction 48 of the A1. Boroughbridge town centre is also about one mile away.

On arrival, I entered the reception and received a very warm and friendly welcome. The reception is also a well stocked shop offering a wide selection of goods from apple pies to bungee cords! It is also possible to pre-order newspapers for the following morning. A fish and chip van visits the site on one evening per week

Even though midweek, the site is very popular. Hence, there seemed to be a steady stream of arrivals and departures over the following days, with Friday being particularly busy.

Some pitches are adjacent to the river which is used by narrow boats and also canoes, plus a few ducks!

The  Camping and Caravanning Club Boroughbridge is an ideal transit stop for those using the A1. However, the site is also a good base for travelling further afield with bus links to Knaresborough, Ripon and York. A Morrisons supermarket is about one mile from the site.

This CCC site is open all year round. Tariff and pitch availability is available on the Camping and Caravanning Club website

Note that being a river-side location, there is a risk of flooding. Tow cars must be available on site.

Update – 2016. Another twenty or so hard stand pitches are being installed. This will increase capacity at the site through the winter. Well done!
