We had planned to stay in the North West, but had to rearrange our plans at short notice. This was due to the motorhome satellite system needing a quick “once over”. The Camping and Caravanning Club Clent Hills looked an obvious spot, being “en route” to our next destination in North Wales. This proved to be a delight of a site, due in part to a lovely, friendly welcome and then two nights of peace and tranquility.

Accessed via a fairly narrow road leading to the site, but with clear views of what may be coming towards you, this pretty site is surrounded by mature trees, many of which were sporting their autumn colours.

After booking in, we were offered a choice of pitch. I asked for one with a good line of sight to the satellite. We were offered a good-sized hard stand that fitted the bill.

Alas, there is no motorhome service point, but that’s no real issue for us as we always have the infamous “humble bucket” to hand. However close to the site entrance, there is a parking area and fresh water tap where motorhomes can top up the fresh waster tank using a hose. There are plenty of fresh water taps dotted around the site.

Some pitches are sloping so you may require levelling ramps and chocks.

Just a few miles from the M5 motorway, the Camping and Caravanning Club Clent Hills served us well as a weekend break and transit stop as we headed towards North Wales. Access to Birmingham for some of the country’s best shopping is easy. Directions, more information and prices are available on the CCC website.
