For those rolling off a ferry at Dunkerque or Calais, the motorhome aire Gravelines makes a convenient stop over. The aire is at Rue du Port at Gravelines, close to the marina.

Cheap diesel near Calais

The Super-U filling station.

Whilst there are no facilities at the aire, there is a service point about 1/2 mile away at a cost of two euro. Within a short walking distance, there is a Super U supermarket and petrol station. The fuel forecourt offers diesel a lot cheaper than in the UK – and a lot cheaper than on the French motorways. Take care which number pump you use – access is tight.

The motorhome aire at Gravelines can accommodate larger units.

Motorhome aire Gravelines – the cost

Gravelines aire can accommodate larger motorhomes as you can see. The cost of using the aire at Gravelines is six euro per night, payable at a machine. For details of thousands more aires and stellplatz, read our review of the Camperstops in Europe book,  – click here.

There are also some campsites in the area and details of these and the surrounding area are available on this French tourism website.
